This page was designed to give our customers some basic information about scents and how they help us to meditate and relax. Creating just the right scent has the ability to transform our emotions and heal our mind and body.

Aromatherapy:

Aroma - A quality that can be perceived by the olfactory sense. A pleasant characteristic odor.

A-ro-ma-therapy -  is a form of alternative medicine that uses volatile liquid plant materials, known as essential oils (EOs), and other scented compounds from plants for the purpose of affecting a person's mood or health.

Sense  -  also called  sensory reception , or  sense perception  the mechanism or faculty by which an organism is able to react to changes in its external or internal environment.

 

Scents:

Chamomile  - Soothing, calming, promotes "dream" state of mind.

Lavender  - Sweet, calming, soothing, balancing. The scent of Lavender is stress reducing. Balancing, soothing,
gently clarifying, normalizing. Fresh, clean. Great for headaches, stress relief, general relaxation, it's also
purifying and calming.

Mint  - A strong scent of Wintergreen, Spearmint, and Peppermint. Very refreshing, and cooling. A great scent for
Spring-Fall, also mixes well. Aromatherapy benefits: Soothing, cleansing, calming, refreshing, purifying.

Sage  Physically and mentally relaxing, Sage oil is traditionally used for muscle fatigue and stress.

Sea Salt - Wonderfully purifying and refreshing. Are wonderful in bath salts and salt scrubs. Salt is an
antiseptic wound healer, and helps draw impurities from your skin.



 

Incense 

 Incense can be, like art for the eyes, music for the ears, or fine cuisine for the palate, an indulgence for the sense of smell. Many people burn incense to appreciate its smell, without assigning any other specific significance to it, in the same way that the forgoing items can be produced or consumed solely for the contemplation or enjoyment of the refined sensory experience
